During these talks, I will typically describe the history of Ayurveda. Where it comes from, how old it is, how it was used.
I’ll show you what it is based on: the elements which surround us, of which we form a part and which form part of us. I’ll give you an introduction as to how you can use this system on yourself, so that you can reduce the elements in your mind and body when they start to accumulate and before they become a full-blown disease. Disease, according to Ayurveda, comes in six phases, starting with accumulation and ending with a full-blown disease. It can start with the accumulation of air in the colon, caused by fermentation, due perhaps to eating fruit after a meal. By doing this regularly, over time you may be setting yourself up for a serious disease. By getting rid of the cause, you can get rid of the symptoms.
Ayurveda is often disarmingly simple, offering you the possibility of health through balancing the elements yourself just by knowing which dosha you are.
I’ll have sent you some homework so that you can work out which elements are foremost and which dosha you are beforehand.
